Set boundaries before you play
Decide how much money and time you can afford to spend, and stop when either limit is reached. Keep gambling money separate from rent, bills and other essentials. Do not borrow to gamble or increase your stakes to recover losses. Avoid gambling when distressed or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Notice when gambling is causing harm
Take a break if gambling makes you anxious, affects relationships or work, leads you to hide spending, or makes it difficult to stop. Chasing losses and gambling with money needed elsewhere are reasons to stop and seek support.
Account support and restrictions
Use Golisimo's Live Chat to discuss account access, restrictions and available responsible-gambling options. Do not create another account or use another route to get around self-exclusion or an account restriction.
Independent information and help in Canada
The Responsible Gambling Council provides information on gambling risks and recognising harm. The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction's Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines provide educational resources and a risk-assessment tool. Lower risk does not mean no risk.
To find local support, use the CCSA's provincial and territorial gambling-help directory. It lists regional services; the CCSA itself does not provide gambling treatment.
Adults only
You must be at least 18 and meet the legal gambling age where you live. Keep account credentials private and prevent children from accessing gambling accounts on shared devices.
